| Dr. Di's Cellulite Booklet |
Dr. Diane Gioia-Bargonetti, ND, CTN, served as the Resident Naturopath
at The A.R.E. NYC Center, also known as The Edgar Cayce Holistic Healing Center, for the past 5 years. "Dr
Di" will now be working freelance in New York City, Brooklyn and the Bethesda area. Please call 917-566-5279 for all
appointments.
The word "doctor" is derived from the word "docere," which means "to teach" in Italian.
Now, consider if you go to a medical doctor 4 times a year, what do you do for your health the other 361 days? You should
have the knowledge--the information--from your doctors to continually live a productive and healthy life. A
visit to a naturopath like "Dr Di" will give you the health education needed for you to apply good health principles and practices
to your life.
"Dr Di" reads your body. She uses pH Testing, Iridology, tongue & fingernail analysis,
foot reflexology and pulse diagnosis, to do this. How you have been living your life over the years is reflected
in your eyes, your tongue, your fingernails and your feet. All "Dr Di" does is READ these reflections which
gives you a strong indication of the state of your health.
"Dr Di" offers Health education for many conditions including, but not limited to: all cancers (Dr. Di is herself a melanoma survivor), fertility, weight management, varicose & spider
vein issues, alcohol and tobacco problems, heart, colon, digestion, and liver concerns, as well as, arthritis, female/male
health issues, depression, cholesterol, high blood pressure, etc. plus all general health issues.
Dr. Diane Gioia-Bargonetti is a contributing writer for A.R.E.’s Venture Inward Magazine; has a
newspaper column in NYC; is the author of a Cellulite Booklet with International distribution; is an Emmy-Nominated Television
Producer; lectures at health seminars; composes, plays and produces healing music; and, as already mentioned, is a melanoma
cancer-survivor. “Dr. Di” resides in New York City and holds a Master of Science in Natural Health degree with
honors and a Doctor of Naturopathy degree with high honors that she was awarded in August of 2001.
"Dr. Di" feels she obtained her alternative health education and degrees at a crucial time in history as she
began utilizing her alternative medicine expertise with the FDNY shortly after the September 11, 2001 tragedy.
What does a Naturopath do?
Dr. Di is an INFORMATIONAL HEALER.
Dr. Di is a NATUROPATH. Naturopaths
use all natural means necessary to treat the whole person: the spirit, the mind and the body (not just symptoms). Naturopaths
reject drugs and surgery as viable healing tools unless it’s an emergency. Personally, I believe there can be great
results if naturopaths and medical doctors coordinated patient care. After all, that was the way it originally was back in
the Popular Health Movement of the 1800’s, when “Every man his own doctor,” was the slogan of the day. Although
the word "naturopathy" was first used in the U.S. about 100 years ago, the natural therapies and the philosophy on which naturopathy
is based have been effectively used to treat diseases since ancient times. Hippocrates, a physician who lived 2400 years ago,
is often considered the earliest predecessor of naturopathic physicians, particularly in terms of his teaching that "nature
is healer of all diseases" and his formulation of the concept vis medicatrix naturae -- "the healing power of nature." This
concept has long been at the core of indigenous medicine in many cultures around the world and remains one of the central
themes of naturopathic philosophy to this day.
Naturopathy does no harm and is inherently
preventative.
