The Eye's Photonic/Sonic Gadget Lair

Welcome to my collection of home workshop-crafted, non-lethal, but
effective devices I have used in my RLSH alter-ego of "The Eye"

The Wrist Blaster -  A camera strobe mounted on a custom leather bracelet, with a small lever switch located near the back of the hand, with the strobe mounted underneath. When the strobe's own power switch is switched on, it charges like any camera strobe.  But in the charged state, when the hand or closed fist is bent back, it trips the switch, firing the strobe in what is termed in the RLSH community as a "Spidey"-style wrist-device, in that it is activated by the same hand it is worn upon (as opposed to a "Space Ghost"-style wrist-device, activated by one hand reaching over to press a button or switch on the opposite hand's device).

The Dazzler - A combo wrist device, with a red laser projector activated by the same style of "Spidey"-switch as in The Wrist Blaster above (I currently have the projector fitted with a tip that projects a red skull design), and a "Space Ghost"-style multiple-pattern white LED flashlight, mounted next to the laser on the wrist band.  Encoded LED light pattern selections include solid, SOS, dazzle (a pattern that strobes the LEDs in a disorienting fashion), and more.

Click here for a Quicktime movie showing The Dazzler in action. The vertical distortion in this clip is an artifact of the digital camera used to record the footage, caused by the brightness of the white LEDS as they flash in sequence.

The Lantern Ring -  Constructed of a combination of a silver ring, a small oval silver and Lapis Lazuli-stone pill box, with a tiny but powerful micro white LED flashlight secreted inside, and a small, modified toggle switch fitted underneath the casing.  Also a "Space Ghost"-type device, in that since I wear it on my left index finger, I must reach over to activate it with my right hand.

The Green Laser Wand - If this wand looks somewhat familiar, it should.  I used a durable polyethylene plastic "Harry Potter" costume wand, to create a housing for the green 530nm laser module I built inside of it.  In addition to providing a method for pointing out any point of vital interest, for example, where accident victims may be located after an incident, for timely emergency response and aid, it can also be an excellent tool for star-pointing, and activating light-sensitive photo-sensor devices at a distance (I have several "magical" FX I've built for doing just such things).

Finger Armor Devices - Butane Torch Finger Armor, Full Finger Talon Multi-Pattern Red Laser, and Small Knuckle Finger Armor Laser, the latter with an adjustable focus red laser (from point to wide bar pattern).

The Sonic Screamer Tube - Originally a belt-worn small personal alarm, with circuit removed and then integrated into a stainless steel tube casing, for better concentrating the sonic effect directly in front of you.

The Peacemaker Blaster - Another re-tooled camera strobe, this time built in and around a metal cap pistol.  When the trigger is pulled, the hammer is pulled back, but instead of causing a cap to ignite, the action of the hammer releasing pressure from the striking plate actually activates a switch that fires the camera strobe flash.

More devices to be added as they are created.  If anyone in the RLSH community wishes to contact me for aiding them in creating their own personal devices, like those above, or of another design, I am always available to help.  It's one of the things I found I can do to help us all make the RLSH community more of a reality, and so I take it very seriously, I assure you.  My hope is that these creations may perhaps inspire and spark your own ideas into reality.   If I am successful in doing so, then my work will have been well worth it.
