I am a junior in the Visual arts cluster at Booker T. Washington High School for the Performing and Visual Arts in Dallas,
Texas. At the beginning of my freshman year I began selling my marble jewelry to my friends. My parents, who are both professional
artists, supported my new found passion. My mom and sister helped me gather beads and other materials for my budding business.
The marble jewelry was a big hit at my school, and by the end of that year I was making all kinds of jewelry. In the tenth
grade I began making bottle cap jewelry. It was a new idea and people loved it. In the spring of that year I started to design
dresses for a fashion show that the students were putting together. These designs will eventually be available on this website.
In the past, I also designed and made several outfits for myself and my friends, including dresses, skirts, shirts, and purses.
Jewelry and designing clothing has been a very productive way to release my creativity and a free way to express my
individuality. I continue to make jewelry mostly as a tribute to my mother who passed away the second semester of my freshmen
year. A piece of me goes into everything I create. So, enjoy!
Special thanks to my sister Amelia, webmaster and my dad, business manager.
