My cars over the years (sob!)

50 Mercury Dad bought it new a year before he passed away.  Mother, sister & I drove it from Minn to Calif where I drove it during High School.  50M.GIF (89970 bytes)
  56 Ford HT Mom bough it new for us to drive back to Minn for a visit.  312  4V,  lots of fun.  On return trip, Mom rear ended another car, the seat belts, first year ever offered, did their job.  
  48 Mercury Coupe Out of high School, installed a Olds V8 in it with 3  2V's.  I want it back!  
  52 MG TD Didn't have it long. Too cold driving in the damp Fog in Hermosa Beach, during the winter  
  55 Ford Crown Victoria At the auto races, would stand on the "crown" to see better.  
  50 Ford Temporary wheels.  
  48 Chev Real temp wheels. When done with it, tied a string to the throttle & tried to blow it up!  Seized up instead.  
  35 Willis Coupe Hard to believe now.  
  52 MB 220 Bought while in the Army in Germany. 
  56 VW bug Early Bug rod.  Was damaged by others more than any other car I've had!  VWMuff.GIF (357302 bytes)
  54 Cady Fleetwood Used car lot took it in.  Bad noise from  engine. I saw the damper was louse.  Bought it, fixed it, drove it a few \months & sold for a good profit.  
  58 MB 180 Fun car. Installed 190 SL head & cam.  Drag strip mgr bought it.

60 MB 220 Fixer upper.  Had been driven through a barbed wire fence.
  63 Galaxie 500 LX 15 years of up-grades.   Taken at China Lake, Ca.       Bracket raced up to 3 times a week.
  58 Ford Used it a couple months while installing new engine in Galaxie.  
68 Cougar Fixer-upper to resell.
  79 Mercury      Zepher Trying to down-size from the Galaxie.

  Flat Head Dragster  Wouldn't spin the wheels at the drags, so I would "oil" the slicks!  
  US Army APC Drove it like a car on the roads in Germany.

  65 Ranchero Dealer Demo.  260  4 sp, lots  of fun!  Too honest (?) to sell cars & got caught at Lions Drag strip by the Boss!  
  66 Hertz GT350 Rented it to go to Riverside Raceway.  It was de-tuned when rented, but not when returned!  
1994 -95 64 Fairlane Post  "Lighting Bolt"  Built for Crites Restorations by Scott Alder, driven by "Dyno Don" & supported by Bill Stropp Racing.
