Here’s a first! The City made available it’s Engineers to the Residents!
Held in the afternoon in a front yard across from a Choker. Good showing of residents, about 20, & City Engineers.
As upset as the residents were, the Engineers had apparently nothing to offer except that more of the Curbing may be painted RED! What’s to be expected with “face saving” & all! No, there needs to be a Higher Unbiased Outside Expert to have a clear mind about this mess!
They made a Dangerous Race Course out of this street & there’s only one way to fix that!
More RED means more parking lost so that Vehicles may drive faster around the Chokers Safer? Another BAND AID & what’s the point in the Big Picture except for a stalling maneuver?
Some said that there are some in
Portland & Florida! Really, are
they just like these, a SAFETY DEVICE causing damaged Cars & leaving Black
Tire marks on them? Sure would
like to see a picture of one more UGLY & DANGEROUS than these!
One elderly, very active opponent of this Boondoggle, is now so upset by this meetings uselessness, that she no longer wants to talk or think about it anymore!
Congratulations Big City, you have worn/broken down one, but not all!
But she will never stop thinking about this, the Yellow with Black Tire markings ugly cement island blob right out her Front Window, & always wondering what/when the next accident will be!
And as she says, “who would want to buy my property now”?
The City had all those attending the meeting sign in! Hope they had a recorder or kept meeting notes too!
