Build Sheets
The Build Sheets are stuffed between a support wire & the upper back seat's foam on the passenger side. They are usually crumpled & brittle, so compress the foam & remove the sheet without disturbing it. Take it home & soak it in water, unravel, flatten & blot the excess water off with a news paper. Then use an ironing iron to dry & press it flat.
Sometimes there are two BS still hooked together, & one will be for another car. Even found one Police car where neither BS was for that car! Two or 3 were used on each car, but apparently the production line people didn't take too seriously, getting all of them on the right car!
Quickest way to tell which BS is for the LX or Police, is by the "M" engine designation.
Also, in the lower open "Remarks" section, a "7" indicates a "LX" & "DSO" a Police car.
There is also a BS between the gas tank & trunk floor. Usually not in useable condition tho!
Jeff reports he found one under the drivers seat carpet!
