Relatives Jim and Hettie Craig and an older aunt from Belfast, Ireland related this story to "Ray" Beatty and "Mert" Beatty in 1941: The Craigs immigrated on a boat leaving from Ireland to Canada (half died at sea) approximately 1871. The Craigs were originally from Scotland. Census: Isabella (Craig) Beatty's immigration date is 1881 on 1901 census from Ireland to Ontario, Canada.

	William and Margaret Beatty Family William and Margaret married 10/8/1858 Kincardine, Bruce, Ontario. William died 2/18/1901 in Canada. Margaret died approximately 1939. children: Roland Beatty married to Isabella Craig (my grandparents). Rebecca Beatty married John Wesley Ferrier of West Wawanosh, 12/29/1886 at Kinlough. The sisters Esther and Rebecca married brothers. May (Ida) Beatty married Thomas Mitchell of Thedford, Ontario, Huron Township 4/9/1901 at Ripley. Charlotte Beatty (died at early age) Hugh Beatty born in Canada 4/21/1878 died 8/29/1953 at Santa Ana, Orange County, California married Sarah Melissa Lowery born 4/1/1881 Canada. Married Huron Township 5/22/1901 at Ripley. Both buried at Westminster, California, USA. Son Herbert James Beatty born 2/11/1915 in Santa Ana, California, died 11/16/2001 at Tustin, Orange County, California, USA. Will Beatty Roland was the oldest. Margaret (mother) lived to approximately 100 years old. William (father) died in his 50's of cancer.
	Parents of William Beatty are Rowland Beatty born approx 1797 of Enniskillen, Fermanaugh, Ireland and Jane Funston born approx 1799. Married about 1822 Enniskillen, Fermanaugh, Ireland. Parents of Martha (Margaret?) Montgomery are Hugh and Margaret Montgomery. Marriage date of William age 24 and Martha age 18 was 10/8/1858 at Huron County. Both born in Ireland.
