I first bought this bass out of frustration from not finding
a Jazz Bass several years ago. It's a decent instrument, but it
was a quick buy. I can't even remember how much I paid for it.
When I think that I passed up my very first Precision, I want to
cringe. It has two p-bass pickups, one volume and one tone master,
and a three-way toggle switch for pickup selection. Whoever owned
this bass before must have really like p-bass pickups. Most guys
used to put a Jazz in the back creating the now popular P-J configuration.
Like I say, it is a decent instrument, but according to the book I have,
the serial number is probably from a Mexican or Japanese product run. I
don't know the year. I'll have to stop buy Charlies or this year's Dallas
Guitar Show to ask an expert. It's also a nice looking blonde finish.
