This is my old bass rig. I started out in 1984 with the AMP 260 sitting in the rack. It's the only piece that was bought new. It's a decent amplifier but it is very old. Now that most places have house PAs, you really don't need a lot of power. I traded a Dietz 1X15 cab and $150 to get the Hartke 4X10 and in 1989 added the 2X10 on top for around $300. After using some Alesis stuff, I got the ART Night Bass effects unit with the foot board in '97 or '98 from Guitar Center. That set me back around $500. It's pretty noisy and I wouldn't use it in a studio. For live gigs, though, its fine. The newest gear on the rig is around 10 years old and the oldest is over 20. It was time to get a new rig.
