Kris's Cooking Corner -- Recipe #3

artichoke-olive tapenade

This is an excellent appetizer or party snack. It is great with bread, crackers or chips. The ingredients may be varied depending on your tastes and what's available without losing the heart of the recipe.

1 small jar marinated artichokes
1/4 cup pitted kalamata olives
1 small clove garlic
3 large fresh basil leaves
small handful of almonds (any kind)

Put garlic clove and basil into food processor or blender until chopped. Add remaining ingredients and chop to a medium consistency (small bits but not pureed).

Serves 2-6 (depending on hunger!)
