January 20th, Jake's gift from his moms was this Curious George pancake breakfast.



Half the fun was making the pancakes!


He did enjoy eating the pancakes (that Mama made) too.


On the 20th, we invited Jake's family over for a dinner birthday party. Here is the birthday boy before his party.


Some birthday fun.


Playing with some old toys (you know, from Christmas!)...


And his first new birthday present -- a turtle from Uncle Ted.


For dinner, we had make-your-own pizzas.


After dinner, Jake (with lots of help) opened gifts.


Here is Jake enjoying a new book from Auntie Kim & his cousins, and looking at his new puppet theatre from Grandma & Grandpa.


At 6pm, the exact time of Jakob's birth, we did a little baby blessing.


Then the cake. (Mama made Jake his own angel-food, banana-cream cake.)


Jake was a little hesitant about the cake,


... but after mommy tried it and gave him a little taste,


... then there no stopping him!


Until he decided that he just couldn't have another bite, and the cake was tossed over the side.


After getting a little cleaned up, Jake entertained the crowd with a little strip-tease!


A little more naked fun, and then it was pajama-time.


Then Jake said goodbye to his guests, including his cousins Erik & Leah. Thanks to all the family for the wonderful birthday!
