Walk 10 feet for a coffee refill and you may sacrifice your remaining bagel or danish. These guys are....alert. Perhaps a little aggravating to the uninitiated; they are, none the less, part of the charm at Cliff House Inn. Patti and I have celebrated our last 20+ anniversaries at the Cliff House. This year is no different. We love the place. In fact, we try to fit in two trips a year when we can. As we tell our friends: It's just a great place to be both alone and together. JOSEPH HOLBROOK

This, from 1987, is a simple tune I composed and called "Patti and the Dolphins"© . I played it for her at our favorite vacation spot, The Cliff House Inn, Mussel Shoals , California . We were down on the beach in a tunnel that runs under Hwy 101 . Fun memories. . .and an extremely fast 20 years.
