The 1815 tax list for Cabell Co. lists two Georges – one from Cabell
Co., and one from OH. The George from OH has one male older than 16, 2 slaves,
2 horses, and 3 cattle. The other George has one male older than 16, no slaves,
2 horses and 9 cattle.
1819 at the sale of William McComas’s estate, a George whom I believe to be William’s stepson, bought
a hand saw for $3.30.
