Until recently, most of my photographs featured the landscape. My background in the social sciences, especially anthropology and history, was the primary influence on this work.
However, I sense a new influence. My landscapes now appear swayed by form rather than by content, making a more intimate statement about time and space.
This new direction challenged me to return to the studio, and my White Flower photographs are the fruits of this labor. This series began as a simple exercise about the subtleties of light on form. However, to my delight, it has evolved into an exciting new outlet for my emotions and creativity.
