Here I am tilling the soil, now with added humus, with a front end tiller. An alternative would be to use
"raised beds."
Below: I am getting ready to put in plants purchased from a local nursery. I buy bulbs from various garden
catalogs but much prefer to use one of our local nurseries for live plants ready to transplant. When you are deciding
what to put where, you can move the pots around. What you plant is dependent upon your climate, soil, micro-climate,
availability and your individual taste. We will go into more detail elsewhere on this site. For the most part,
you can move perennials, even after they have settled, without harming them.
