As far as action movies go, this is a cut above the rest. The whole film really is a surprise, in that it was good. Let’s be honest, movies like this are usually a hit or miss, with a strong lean towards the miss. U.S. MARSHALS, however, is different. The acting is strong and the script consistently keeps you interested and on your toes. The story does wear a little thin in the last half-hour, but I still recommend seeing it. Besides, Tommy Lee Jones is the man! He’s so much fun to watch on screen and I’m starting to forgive him for BATMAN FOREVER. I’m also happy that they brought back all of Jones’ original team from THE FUGITIVE. Since none of them are big stars, it’s surprising that Hollywood didn’t just replace them. But they didn’t, thankfully, and the same group of good actors has returned to reprise their roles.
