By all accounts, THE CREW should have been terrible, but surprisingly wasn’t. For once, a mob comedy stays true to its genre and doesn’t take itself or the plot too seriously. It remains a comedy. And seemingly, THE CREW assembles every possible actor that’s ever played a minor mob character before. Faces you know, but wouldn’t know their names if you’re life depended on it. But it was a nice touch adding notably to the comedic effect. Hey, this movie is just a cute little jaunt and a good distraction during this rather weak movie season.
