Some funny scenes and a few good cameos make this worth checking out. It could have used a few changes though, like a touch of rewriting and a different leading lady certainly. Jennifer Lopez is sadly another entry into the “Miscast Hall of Fame.” She’s an actress with potential but just wasn’t ready for a role like this yet. In fact, every scene where the film is at its weakest, she’s involved in. Lopez is simply embarrassing and her trying to act tough is laughable at best. My only other wish is that Ving Rhames and Albert Brooks’ parts could have been larger. They are both really good and George Clooney holds it all together as the lead.

      Elmore Leonard based movies are always unique and this one’s no different. A few of the people around me hated it, but I have to admit that I liked it. OUT OF SIGHT could have been better, sure, but it’s pretty cool the way it is.
