MY BEST FRIEND’S WEDDING has some great moments, but the overall movie is just okay. Still, these good points do make the film worth seeing. The cast is good and I’ve always liked Julia Roberts and Dermot Mulroney. Mulroney, in fact, is one of those actors that I’ve liked for years, but mainstream success has always eluded him. Hopefully that will change! Cameron Diaz impressed me also because the role that she was playing is not as easy as it looks. But the one who deserves the real praise is Rupert Everett, who plays Julia Roberts’ friend and editor, George. This guy, without a doubt, steals the show! Trust me, there’s a couple of points where he’ll have you rolling in your seat.
