While not a waste, like some summer blockbusters, THE MASK OF ZORRO still only reaches the okay mark. It held firmly at 3 stars for most of the movie, but by the end grew really tiresome. Not only that, something was missing. I couldn’t put my finger on what, but you can’t escape the feeling.

      Those of you determined to see this no matter what will be entertained. But unless you really, really want to see it, I suggest making a different choice. It’s not bad though. THE MASK OF ZORRO is still worth a trip to the theater.
