| Jane Austen’s MAFIA! |
½
When director Jim Abrahams was teamed with the Zucker brothers, they were responsible for some of the funniest movies ever, including the funniest, AIRPLANE! But for some reason, the trio decided to go their separate ways. Each now directs movies of their own and they’ve been okay, but never as good as when they were together. After seeing MAFIA, I really think that you three should get back together again because it’s just not happening for you separately. Sure, each of your movies has their moments, like this one did, but that’s it. They don’t add up to a complete movie, much less a funny one.
On a final note, this is the last we will ever see of the great Lloyd Bridges. I wish his exit could have been a grand one, but this will have to suffice. At least we were able to see him one last time. Goodbye Lloyd!
