In this genre, great acting is a rarity, but IDENTITY’s is fabulous. All the more reason to be disappointed, I guess. Turning convention on its side is fine, if it’s original. The reviewers all praised IDENTITY for this, as do I. Unfortunately, the plot soon turns vapid and falls back into clichéd horror convention. Any of the film’s potential really is pissed away by this dreadful ending. My God, how can screenwriters be so creative and then so stupidly predictable too? How?
