| GREASE |

How can anyone not like this movie? A bona fide classic of American cinema, GREASE is one of the best movie musicals ever. And it’s just great fun too. Admittedly, I had my doubts about this re-release, as to whether or not it would still be good. This was for naught because GREASE has withstood the test of time. One or two musical numbers are a little cheesy, but the majority of them are still great. And let me tell you, enhancing and remastering does make a difference, especially when you have the big screen to watch it on. Every song sounded better than ever before. Of course, something was sadly missing. I mean, where was that new scene of Zucco and Jabba? Sorry, just a little joke!
What really surprised me was the amount of families at this movie. At first I felt like I was in (insert favorite Disney title here). But then you realize that GREASE’s appeal is by no means confined to any one age group. My love for this movie began when I was a kid and continues on till this day. And what’s not to like? Great acting, great music, and a message or two about growing up are all wonderfully mixed together. Not only that, you get to see John Travolta in his early prime (I say early because he’s still in it). And you have to give Olivia Newton-John credit. She holds her own in the dance sequences with Travolta and this was no easy task, I’m sure. So come on, quit reading this review and go see it. NOW!!!!!!!!!!
