Roger Ebert gave this 3 out of 4 stars??? That’s it! If this doesn’t finally prove to you people what a fucking moron he is, nothing will. And typically, I like movies like this. But the ending for FINAL DESTINATION is so beyond pitiful, it almost defies belief. And I just question how anyone could deny this. Also, if this is all James Wong and Glen Morgan can come up with these days, thank God they left THE X-FILES when they did, before they took that show down with them. Saddest of all though is that they were once good writers, and I honestly do hope that they’ll come out with something better in the future. But for now, their latest just doesn’t cut it.

      DESTINATION simply becomes redundant, as real scares are stupidly substituted for elaborate and gruesome death scenes, which don’t help to further the story in any good way. If Wong and Morgan felt that that’s where all their originality should lie, they made a big mistake. What they did have though was a good idea, and it was wasted on a movie that will soon disappear into the discount Blockbuster bins forever.
