| ENEMY OF THE STATE |

I gotta admit, the majority of this movie is actually pretty good. For once, a Jerry Bruckheimer production has some merit and not all just mindless action. In fact, the chase sequences in this are awesome and will really keep you on your toes. ENEMY OF THE STATE is by no means flawless, but for once you can sit back and enjoy without regretting it.
And I have to give them credit for having some sense of film history and casting Gene Hackman. His character is not unlike the one he played in Coppola’s, THE CONVERSATION (occupation wise anyway). And when they show a younger picture of him in this, he looks just like he did when he played Harry Caul. In fact, I wouldn’t be surprised if the picture they used actually was from THE CONVERSATION. Nice little homage guys!
