Despite the presence of Spielberg, Hanks, Walken, and even DiCaprio, CATCH ME IF YOU CAN nearly passed me by. I wasn’t interested. Spielberg’s made so much Sci-Fi of late, that dabbling in this genre didn’t look like his thing. However, it’s really his best film in years. Thanks to the insistence of my father, my girlfriend and I checked it out.

      While some details were likely changed or moments added for effect, the fact that this story is true is the real glue. If it wasn’t for this, you’d probably never buy the premise. But it’s true! CATCH ME is not the greatest film ever, but Spielberg keeps it interesting. And frankly, all of the leads deserved OSCAR nominations, but only Christopher Walken got one. Thank goodness for that, I guess.
