Some will consider this a guilty pleasure on my part, but so what, I liked this movie. BLADE is one of the best action movies I’ve seen in a while. And for picking an actor to play Blade, they couldn’t have made a better choice than Wesley Snipes. He rocks! And the fight scenes kick ass! :-) Stephen Dorff is effective as the villain and does a good job, but since he doesn’t look much older than a teenager, he’s hard to take seriously at times.

      I only wish they had waited until Halloween to release this. Fall would have greatly added to the experience. You know…the wind blowing with the slight chill in the air and the leaves falling off the trees. The cold feeling of dread everywhere (insert maniacal laugh here!!!). BLADE perfectly captures that feel, which most horror movies haven’t been able to since the 70’s. (Of course, BLADE is both action and horror combined.) As it does buy into some of the usual clichés, it’s nowhere near as bad as most action movies. This is definitely one to have fun with!
