BEDAZZLED

Star Star

In a comedy that would generally attract more women than men, guys should be just as willing to attend since a beautiful woman portrays Satan. And not to be glib, but some men will probably identify with the association more than they should. Wink, wink! While it doesn’t take long for the Devil to appear, it’s still not short enough. The comedy in this is rarely above average and the wish scenarios are surprisingly the weakest segments of all. Only the scenes between Brendan Fraser and Elizabeth Hurley keep things alive and somewhat interesting. Fraser is solid as usual and Hurley is just deliciously evil. But overall, I doubt you’ll leave feeling your money was well spent.

Favorite line: “It’s not easy being the Barbra Streisand of evil.” Yeah, I got the point, but any statement that combines Streisand with pure evil is the truest one ever spoken. ;-)
