| BATMAN & ROBIN |

The time for being subtle and nice is over! Words cannot describe how horrible this movie is. Not even a single scene is worth saving in the whole disastrous mess. I honestly feel sorry for the actors too because they had nothing to work with. Unfortunately, they’re the ones who are going to take the blunt of the criticisms and they shouldn’t. No my friends, what lies at the heart of this abomination is its director, Joel Schumacher. Thanks to him and his bitch screenwriter, Akiva Goldsman, Batman has been ruined. But what do you expect, when you hire a lousy director and a lousy scriptwriter, you’re going to get crap.
Oh how I pray for the days of Tim Burton and Michael Keaton. Did you all know that Michael Keaton officially decided to walk from BATMAN FOREVER after his first meeting with Schumacher. Kind of makes you wonder, doesn’t it? Let me tell you, after reading numerous quotes from Schumacher, I’ve learned that he’s nothing but a two-faced liar. (Sorry, the pun was not intentional.) He now says that he didn’t even want Keaton to play Batman and wanted Val Kilmer instead, which is completely untrue. As I mentioned above, Keaton walked on his own accord. He wasn’t replaced because Schumacher wanted somebody different. Also, along with Entertainment Weekly, Schumacher led the campaign in bashing Val Kilmer in the aftermath of BATMAN FOREVER. Sorry Joel, but Kilmer actually has talent, something you’re desperately in need of. Most people don’t even know that Warner Bros. forced Kilmer out of his contract. Just one day after completing THE SAINT, they wanted him to start BATMAN & ROBIN. When Kilmer shied away from this, only because he wanted to take a breather first, Warner Bros. said, “Fine, we’ll get somebody else.” Let’s be honest, Warner Bros. wants to make money, so they’re filling these movies with star power rather than talent. This is not to say that the actors in question are not talented, they’re just not right for these roles. I honestly think that there will be two Batmen in the next movie. When one actor’s star power begins to decline during mid-shoot, the studio will replace him. It’s the whole Darren Stevens, BEWITCHED, thing. As for Entertainment Weekly, those morons are just as two-faced. I found it odd that they printed not one, but two separate articles trashing Kilmer. I then started to wonder who owns Entertainment Weekly. Guess what my friends, it’s Warner Bros! I’ll let you fill in the blanks from here.
Still, this is one of those movies that people will see anyway to satisfy their own curiosity, which I understand completely. Just be warned! My own recommendation…go rent the first BATMAN instead. If you really want to see what Batman should be, watch the animated cartoon series. I know what you’re thinking, I’m an adult and I won’t like a cartoon. You’ll like this one, trust me. Then, if you like the series, rent the animated movie, BATMAN: MASK OF THE PHANTASM, which is far better than the last three live-action versions.
One last thing, if anyone from Warner Bros. is reading this, FOR THE LOVE OF GOD, PLEASE FIRE JOEL SCHUMACHER!!!
