Ever wish that some movies had a fast forward button attached, so you could just get through it? You at least have the option at home, and with BAIT you’re going to need it. This movie, in one of its many problems, is just overly long and drawn out, needing at least twenty minutes cut. Jamie Foxx, for the first half, keeps you laughing though, but this only goes so far. His funny and obvious ad-libbing gets stretched to its limits, while the plot eventually leaves you yawning more and more. Maybe with a real director and not some music video maker, this could’ve been something. For a better movie, watch ENEMY OF THE STATE with Will Smith and Gene Hackman.
