While I wish it weren’t so, this was yet again another comedy that will have you laughing sometimes and then yawning others. A great idea, a great cast and a good director almost pull it off, but they didn’t, or rather couldn’t. The script showed signs of comic genius but had too many mediocre moments spread between. I guess the writers had their good days and their bad ones too (real bad). One fantastic scene did involve a superb spoof of THE GODFATHER, where for some reason I was the only one laughing. I’m shocked to be the only one who got the joke, but since there wasn’t a stir from anyone else in the theater, I guess so. And this parody was funny, no question.

      This was a great idea and it almost delivered; however, the key word is “almost.” But if you’re fans of Robert De Niro and Billy Crystal, I doubt if you’ll be too let down.
