This movie has really grown on me! I wasn’t too impressed at first, but after seeing it a few more times, I’ve decided to up its star amount. The beginning is still a little rough and the overall moral is forced and unnecessary, but the rest of this movie is actually great fun. It has a quirky and offbeat feel that holds it together and seems to dominate despite the weaknesses. The acting is good, with Bruce Willis and Milla Jovovich both doing very well in their respective roles. And Gary Oldman (a sorely underrated actor) is really cool as the villain. All of this, combined with some mind-blowing special effects, makes for an entertaining movie. So maybe it’s not perfect, but you can still watch it over and over and not get bored. :-)
