 Episode 1: OPERATION TOWLINE     Saturday 8:00 - 8:30 p.m. September 13, 1958
This is a new weekly half-hour series dramatizing the adventures of Milton Caniff's comic-strip character Lt. Col. Stevenson B. Canyon.  Dean Fredericks is seen as Canyon.  In this debut episode Canyon is given command of a mission which calls for a fueling ship to tow three jets which are to be cut loose when an enemy missile is sighted.  But on the test flight, one of the planes develops engine trouble and endangers all four of the planes on the mission  (Film)  Brig. On a practice bombing mission, Lt. Col Steve Canyon encounters difficulties and is forced to drop a small bomb on a disposal area.  The bomb doesn't explode, and two youngsters, who saw it drop, pick it up.  Jerry Paris, Ted de Corsia.  Sergeant Bulla: John Anderson;     Mary Moore: Virginia Christine;     Ben Moore:  Dabbs Greer;

Episode 6: OPERATION SURVIVAL    Saturday 8:00 - 8:30 p.m. October 25, 1958
Canyon is accidentally thrown out of a plane while observing a training jump by Air Force "Paramedics".  Though Canyon parachutes to safety the drillmaster bails out in an effort to help Canyon and fractures his leg on landing.  The two men find themselves in wild mountain country, miles from civilization.  Sgt. Episode 7: FEAR OF FLYING    Saturday 8:00 - 8:30 p.m. November 1, 1958
A pilot who has received many commendations during his time in service, is court-martialed for reckless flying and negligence.  The pilot asks for Lt. Col. Steve Canyon to defend him.     Capt. Peterson: Philip Abbott;     Trial Counsel: Donald Freed;

Episode 8: OPERATION MOBY DICK                 November 8, 1958
Lt. Col Steve Canyon is given the responsibility of transporting the first Atlas missile to Cape Canaveral, Florida for Launching.

Episode 9: OPERATION B-52                                 November 15, 1958|
Lt. Col. Steve Canyon and his crew attempt to set a new round-the-world nonstop speed record in a B-52.  When the plane takes off from Morocco, Ben Radin a newsman who hates service-men, is aboard.

Episode 11: OPERATION CRASH LANDING      December 6, 1958
Lt. Col. Steve Canyon is making a routine flight bringing engineer Ed Tuttle to Big Thunder Air Force Base.  As Steve begins his landing approach, he notices that his nosewheel has not lowered.  Canyon realizes he must risk a crash landing.  Ed Tuttle: Lamont Johnson;

Before leaving Taipei, Lt. Col. Steve Canyon purchases a carved wooden monkey from an eager peddler.  Back at Big Thunder Air Force Base, Canyon finds that the wooden carving has placed an Air Force nurse and himself in danger.

Episode 20: THE FIGHT                                           February 5, 1959
A prizefighter, training at Big Thunder for a championship fight, gives a sparring partner an unmerciful beating.  Airman Featherstone, a former professional boxer, decided to provoke the vicious fighter into a grudge match.

Episode 21: THE ROBBERY                                    February 19, 1959
Lt. Col. Steve Canyon and Major Willie Williston are kidnapped by three men who take over their plane.  The captors plan to robe the Penrose Air Base Bank, use the plane for their getaway and bail out over Mexico, leaving Canyon and Williston tied up aboard the plane.      Jerry Paris;       Jack Olsen:  Gavic MacLeod;

Episode 22: BLACKMAIL                                        February 26, 1959
Lt. Col Steve Canyon and Police Chief Hagedorn investigates the death of the wife of a Big Thunder airman.  The woman was a Czechoslovakian war bride who had been victimized in a blackmail scheme.
