Episode 1: OPERATION TOWLINE Saturday 8:00 - 8:30 p.m. September 13, 1958
This is a new weekly half-hour series dramatizing the adventures
of Milton Caniff's comic-strip character Lt. Col. Stevenson B. Canyon.
Dean Fredericks is seen as Canyon. In this debut episode Canyon
is given command of a mission which calls for a fueling ship to tow
three jets which are to be cut loose when an enemy missile is sighted.
But on the test flight, one of the planes develops engine trouble and
endangers all four of the planes on the mission (Film)

difficulties and is forced to drop a small bomb on a disposal area.
The bomb doesn't explode, and two youngsters, who saw it drop, pick it

Episode 6: OPERATION SURVIVAL Saturday 8:00 - 8:30 p.m. October 25, 1958
Canyon is accidentally thrown out of a plane while observing a
training jump by Air Force "Paramedics". Though Canyon parachutes
to safety the drillmaster bails out in an effort to help Canyon and
fractures his leg on landing. The two men find themselves in wild
mountain country, miles from civilization. Sgt.

A pilot who has received many commendations during his time in service,
is court-martialed for reckless flying and negligence. The pilot
asks for Lt. Col. Steve Canyon to defend him.

monkey from an eager peddler. Back at Big Thunder Air Force Base,
Canyon finds that the wooden carving has placed an Air Force nurse and
himself in danger.

a grudge match.

Episode 21: THE ROBBERY February 19, 1959
Lt. Col. Steve Canyon and Major Willie Williston are kidnapped by three
men who take over their plane. The captors plan to robe the
Penrose Air Base Bank, use the plane for their getaway and bail out
over Mexico, leaving Canyon and Williston tied up aboard the plane.

Lt. Col Steve Canyon and Police Chief Hagedorn investigates the death
