According to TV Forecast  Earl Hammond plays Buck, Eva Marie Saint plays Wilma and  Harry Southern plays Dr. Huer.  The CHANNEL ONE column of TV Forecast cover dated April 15, 1950 reads: "In case you see a flying saucer, have no fear, it's probably some press agent plugging the new ABC-TV Buck Rogers show. . . ."  *It should be noted here that this was the very first science fiction adventure show to be broadcast live in Chicago!  Captain Video would not begin broadcasting in this area until June 5, 1950.  Also, as far as my memory is concerned, Captain Video did not immediately venture into space, but was more a "science" adventure show in its first year.

Chub McCarthy's column in TV Forecast cover dated July 22, 1950 has a list of Things I Can Do Without and Never Really Miss.  #2 on the list, and I quote: "Buck Rogers is not far behind.  The man of the 25th century is exciting in cartoon form, but the few episodes shown thus far lack enthusiasm, and from what I understand the show has been cancelled in many cities.

Editors Note:  This was the last broadcast of the Buck Rogers live action series to be broadcast live in Chicago on WENR-TV, an ABC affiliate (The show was broadcast live out of New York). It should be noted that when the program switched over to Tuesday nights it was running opposite Milton Berle’s TEXACO STAR THEATER, which was certainly the kiss of de
