This song is based on a comment by Brooke McEldowney on 12/10/2008. He said that sometimes when he is drawing Pibgorn he has the theme of a TV show running through his head.

Pibgorn’s Isle

Just sit right back and you'll hear a tale,
A tale of our favorite strip
That started from a drawing board
and not some tiny ship.

The artist is a learn-ed man,
His daughter is the Snark.
Five thousand people to this day
Follow the story arc, follow the story arc.

The action started getting rough,
The tiny cast was tossed,
If not for the courage of the fearless Dru
Then Pibgorn would be lost, then Pibgorn would be lost.

The strip set ground on the shore of this uncharted comic isle
With Pibgorn,
The demon Dru,
The Organist, with no wife,
The Sword Maiden,
Roger and Lena Egg,
Here on Pibgorn’s Isle.
