My name, is Peter Gauthier and I like to write short stories. I live in Minnesota, USA.
I was born in Wisconsin. After graduating High School, I joined the U.S. Air Force and left after four years. I have
been working for defense contractors ever since. Even though I left the military in 1983, I have spent almost all of my working
hours at military bases. I started writing stories when I got my first computer with a word processor. Typing by hand and
editing were just too tough. In 1996 I wrote my first story on a computer. It was a Ranma 1/2 story based on the characters
created by Rumiko Takahashi. There are 19 of these plus an introduction. This was folowed by 3 chapters of a story based on
Tenchi Muyo, another Japanese animated series. My largest project to date is a book I am hoping to sell or publish in the
future.
About this blog
The Joe Minotaur Stories originated from a word play that I posted on the Pibgorn comments section of the gocomics.com
website. "Minotaur" was a word play on "Monitor". I thought that a point another commentor was trying to make seemed
as if he was trying to read too much into the artwork of the comic strip. My reply was, "I think you are sitting too close
to the minotaur. Just enjoy the play and don't mind the naked actors." This, "Sitting too close to the Minotaur" soon took
on a life of it's own. A week later, I wrote and posted the first Joe Minotaur story that you see on the Home page: Joe
Minotaur: Let's see if this works." I didn't expect to get the favorable reaction I did and I posted more stories
soon after. The number of stories and fans has grown to the point that it was time to leave. It was suggested, several times, that
I start my own blog and here it is. The artist, Brooke McEldowney was kind enough to let it go on for as long as it has. Now
it is time for Joe to have a life of his own. All of the short stories that I have posted on the Pibgorn site are
now found here, as well as any future Joe Minotaur stories and some misc. jokes, lyrics, poems that are related to Joe Minotaur.
I depend on you to let me know how I am doing. All coins and compliments are welcome!
