Here's a chance for you to contribute.

What I love about the web is the opportunity to share my thoughts and passions with others. But I also like to hear what others think and to exchange ideas.

On this page, I'll share some of the comments I've received in my Guestbook and via e-mail. In some cases, I may also respond to the comments. Please get in touch!

Terry Holder is a tremendous songwriter and singer.  She has recently moved to Olympia, WA along with her husband and performing partner Jerry Holder.  A new CD is in the works under the expert guidance of Garey Shelton.  Terry is a New Folk finalist at the 2008 Kerrville Festival and this is  just the beginning for her. Catch her as soon as you can.
ELIZA JANE!!!  Singer, Violinist, Guitar player and much more.  Great songs, even better deliver.  Totally unique and always in flux.  She is also an expert dialectologist, voice actress (you've heard her on South Park, Finding Nemo and all sorts of other projects) and much more.
Always a treat and you never know what will happen next when this wicked pixie is around.
Brent McElroy builds wonderful guitars.  Take a look at some of the instruments he makes. The Northwest (from Portland to Vancouver, BC) has a major concentration of some of North America's finest luthiers.  Brent is certainly one in my opinion.
I am currently playing two of Brent's guitars.
The 00 maple guitar has a rich slide sound which is remarkably full and loud for this size instrument.
The mini-jumbo was completed in the summer of 2007. It already has a very robust bottom end and is just beginning to loosen up as it gets played.  It is a fine instrument for using a slide in G tuning, however it has recently shown itself to be a stunning  for playing in D tuning or DADGAD.  In addition to the rich tone, the intonation is very precise.
Roy McAlister is another luthier who has come to the Northwest and who custom builds excellent guitars for some of this countries most loved and respected performers. Find out who by going to his site.
Once you own a great instrument, you'll eventually need someone to setup or repair it.  Cat Fox is a great choice for acoustic stringed instrument repair.  She pays special attention to every aspect of your instrument, but she'll pay EXTRA special attention if you bring her a coffee treat.
*****Alice Stuart, a performing companion of Joel's,  has been honored by several awards from different sources this month.

Joe Vinikow IS Mr. Archtop Guitar, period.

Joel is a proud supporter of the Lydia E. Pinkham Superior Orchestra.
Athletic too!   Put them together any way that amuses you.
Denny Hall's current musical fascination involves his unique take on various blues, primal R&B and who knows what else.  His Nite Cafe site also has great stories and reportage.    Not to be missed!!
Michael deTemple is building some of the best and most innovative electric guitars in the of (and in tribute to) Leo Fender.  He is also a fabulous musician and you have probably already heard him whether you realize it or not.  His site also conatins a unmber of great photos from the past, including the Pinkham Orchestra and Zen Cruisers.
Tom Martin is doing some of the most effective and technically adept web design and web video work in the world.  Check out his company's website for details and a generally entertaining and informative time.
Bob Page has one of the largest and best boutique stringed instruement stores in the world.  Among other things, his acoustic guitar inventory (new, used and vintage) is tremendous.  Not just a place to shop, this site is an excellent reference source for people researching boutique luthiers and guitar models etc.
Megan Burleson is now living in Washington St. and, among other things, breeding and raising alpacas.
