If you're going to make beer, you're going to need steins to drink it from! In the longstanding German tradition, Lemp commissioned the production of a variety of beer steins, each with the easily recognizable Lemp sheild logo on the pewter lid.

Below are a variety of Lemp steins including several from the "monk stein" series. Prosit!.

The Lemp monk stein series was produced by Merkelbach & Wick from Germany in approximately 1895. Each of the steins has the same ornate pewter lid and a different scene of monk life from some by-gone era.

No one knows exactly how many different scenes were made in this unusual series of beer advertising. All the steins in the series are 1/2 liter in volume and measure 6" tall. Below sixteen different varieties are pictured.
