Aiden Stanley was always a trouble maker growing up.  He never played well with the other kids and always wanted things his way.  His teachers  referred to him as either "fiery" or as "cold" and none of them could handle more than two weeks of him.  His poor parents tried everything to improve his behavior, but nothing ever seemed to work.  He was uncontrollable. Finally, when Aiden reached the age of twelve, his parent were through with the psychologists and decided to pursue psychiatry.  Medication must be the solution.

In their desperation, Aiden's parents failed to notice how eager Dr. Cy Cotik was to treat their son.  Dr. Cotik arranged for a special "rehabilitation" program for Aiden, one that would require Aiden's stay for two months.  Elated to have someone actually interested in caring for Aiden, the Stanleys dropped him off at the Rehabilitation Center and promptly went to the movies, something haven't done since Aiden was born.  The Stanleys, rushing to make the matinee, did not give the fact that they dropped Aiden off in a back alley or that the Door to the Rehabilitation Center was not marked and a very large man named Bruno stood outside of it, a second thought.  They just hoped that "Terminator," "Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom," and "Ghostbusters" were all still playing.

Aiden's behavior did not phase Dr. Cotik in the least.  In fact, he encouraged it.  He monitored Aiden's brain waves, blood pressure, heart rate and every other conceivable thing the doctor could think of.  After 3 days of letting Aiden do as he pleased, Dr. Cotik had his baseline.  Aiden was then restrained, poked, prodded and intentionally angered.  Each day, the trials got more severe, either geared towards angering Aiden or out-right causing him pain. The doctor so loved his work.

Day after day, this went on.  After about a month, the doctor decided to try an experiment using a scalpel and open flame.  He wanted Aiden to make the choice between which type of pain he wanted to receive, to be cut by knife or burned by flame.  Aiden refused and told the doctor what he could do with his scalpel.  Aiden, for a brief moment, realized that he had control of the situation by refusing to participate.  He would just shut down and then the doctor would be robbed of his results.  No cut, no burn would make him scream.  Or so Aiden thought.

Unfortunately the doctor had anticipated this.  With Aiden's comment about his scalpel, Dr. Cotik asked Aiden if he knew what radial keratotomy was.  Aiden did not respond.  The doctor took the scalpel and moved closer and closer to Aiden until their faces were only about a foot apart.  The doctor explained that radial keratotomy was a procedure used to correct the eyes of people with vision problems that involved making a number of incisions directly on the cornea of the patient.  The doctor then said, "It seems, Aiden, that you have a vision problem, for you cannot see the purpose of what I'm doing here.  I'm going to correct that."  The doctor then made an incision in Aiden's left eye.  Screaming in horror and pain, something within Aiden switched on.

The small blow torch that the doctor had put down before approaching Aiden with the scalpel was still on.  The flame that was blowing out of the nozzle seemed to come alive all of a sudden.  As if some invisible hand was guiding it, the flame leaped across the room and hit the doctor, instantly igniting his lab coat.  It was now Dr. Cotik's turn to scream in horror and pain.

The doctor flung off his coat and noticed that the flames were leaping about the room, setting everything on fire.  The doctor, yelled, "I knew it!  You possess some sort of power!"  The doctor ran and pulled the fire alarm. The sprinkler system kicked in and rain descended the room.  The doctor, regaining himself said, "You aren't going to kill me today."  But then something else happened.  As the water streamed from the extinguishers from above, they formed into razor sharp ice scalpels and began slicing the doctor all over.  The doctor's screams of pain eventually stopped...but not too quickly.  Aiden used the falling ice scalpels to cut himself free and headed straight for the door.  Without even looking back, the fire came back to life and engulfed the rehabilitation center.

The next day Aiden found himself waking up in a hospital room.  He had a patch over his left eye.  He overheard the nurses talking about an old building that appeared to house some sort of medical equipment was burned to the ground. Everyone inside was presumed dead, burned beyond recognition.  A doctor then appeared and said, "Ah you're awake.  I'm Dr. Seawhell."  After a second's pause, he continued with, "I tried to save your eye, but I couldn't.  The good news is that your other eye is fine.  Do you have a name, son?" Aiden lied and said he couldn't remember.  The doctor said it wasn't uncommon to have temporary memory loss from traumatic experiences.  The doctor went off to get social services to come and talk to him.  Once the doctor left, Aiden made his escape from the hospital.

No longer considered alive, Aiden had decide what to do.  With his new found powers, Aiden realized no one could do anything like Dr. Cotik had done to him again.  In fact, people would have to do just about do anything he told them to...or else.  He could finally get his way.  He liked that thought.  And so on this day, the world saw the birth of The Blower!  He'll blow you...away.
