On to new business now – hope you all had a super good week! I know mine
was busy, very warm and more than usually frustrating. Ever try to point out a bank error to a bank? It’s getting their
attention that’s so hard. First I was told to call a 1-800 number who told me to call my local branch which, of course
was who I called in the first place. Then I was told that I had to speak to a particular person who naturally was not in.
Next day that person had two people waiting to speak to him, so could I call in an hour and a half or so. Next he was on the
other line and when I offered to hold, I got him for a second, just long enough for him to ask if I could call back in 15
minutes. In 15 minutes, he asked me if I could hold for a minute, then asked me if I could come in and talk to him in person.
I kid you not. Guess the key here is to go in person in the first place, but it took three days and half a dozen phone calls
to figure that out. Be forewarned.
Found a neat way to cool down the house in late afternoon. I put a big bowl
of water in the freezer with some flowers sprinkled on top, then when it got warm late in the afternoon, I took the bowl out
and put it on the table under the ceiling fan and cranked that puppy up. Worked great!
Program Review NetmarkAid
Usually I don’t get too excited about pre-launch things, but this just
seems worth talking about.
As many of you know, I like programs that give something back to the community
and I see great potential here. I heard about it from a fellow subscriber, Scott Strehle.
Here’s the skinny. (I’m
