Hello again to you, and
a special welcome to all you new members!
Well, we finally made
it! After all the warm weather teases, Spring has officially arrived in the northern hemisphere. Even better,
here in Seattle we finally got some rain! Boy do we ever need it. We have had a record breaking dry spell – really unusual
for this area. Still, we would need rainstorms of biblical proportions to catch up.
Even normal amounts of
falling water will green everything up, though. Peas, lettuce and kale are already looking good, and I actually accomplished
some digging this week. I have been so looking forward to gardening for so long now, I can hardly contain myself.
While we are on
the topic of spring, I want to pass along this site. It is especially appropriate if you are a person who celebrates the Easter
Holiday. Enjoy!

Program
Review
What better time
than spring to start another new feature? Each week I’ll attempt a review of a program I have some experience with.
In keeping with the spring theme this week, I’d like to start with Greenwiz.
This is a program that
has been around for quite a while – I first joined over a year ago because of my passion for gardening. At first, there
wasn’t really very much going on here, but the support people were very responsive, so I just kind of hung out and watched
it for all this while, and am I ever glad that I did!
Many new features have
been added since the first of the year – a monthly newsletter featuring a “Plant-of-the-month” with appropriate
care information, etc., an “Article Garden” with articles of various garden-oriented subjects, a “Member’s
Links” section (HMM…sounds familiar, no? 8>)) and most recently a “Solve a Mystery” section.
You can, of course make
money with this program as well and they pay your commission right on time.
Membership is free to
start, and then a very reasonable $5 per month, so if you like gardening, I’d recommend you sign up free and check it
out.
