Hi,
Judy Woodson here with a hearty welcome to all you new subscribers and a hello
again to our regulars.
Here in Seattle, it’s harvest season for many things. In fact, there
is a big Harvest Fair in my neighborhood this Saturday and I’m really looking forward to it as local farmers and cheese-makers
and herbal medicine makers will all be here. Some of these people I’ve known for many years and only see at harvest
time.
Meantime, I‘m up to my ears in apples and green beans, and herbs that
have been drying for weeks now. Have been picking apples and turning them to juice to go in the freezer (and drink) all week
as the remaining apples will be harvested this Saturday to be given to the food banks. I love this time of year!
By the way, if any of you are thinking of joining me in the Recipe Swap Program,
now would be a good time. There is a new recipe contest just beginning and cash prizes will be awarded for the best Holiday
Recipes. The last contest was pretty fun even though I wasn’t one of the winners. We all voted for the winners, and,
of course, all the recipes went into our on-line cookbook. If you want to check it out, go to my site and click on the Recipe
Swap Logo to sign up. It’s fun and you might even make some money while you are at it. :-}
