Welcome to my web site. My name is Joanna Mitrega. I am a Certified Nurse-Midwife (CNM) and Advanced Regis-tered Nurse Practitioner (ARNP) licensed to practice in Florida. I am employed by Phoenix Physicians, LLC, an OB/GYN practice, at the 7th Avenue Family Health Center in Fort Lauderdale. I assist with deliveries at the Broward General Medical Center hospital.

	As a team member with the Phoenix OB/GYN physicians and midwives, I perform obstetrical clinics at the 7th Avenue Family Health Center and assist with deliveries at the Broward General Medical Center, in collaboration with our on-call physicians.  I also perform as First Assistant during Cesarean sections.
	I am a graduate of the Johns Hopkins School of Nursing and the Georgetown University Nurse-Midwifery Education Master of Science Program. In addition to my U.S. education, I have also obtained a Master of Arts Degree in Education from the University of Wroclaw in my native country of Poland .
