I called this page James's Purple Nurple based on a purple motorcycle I owned many years ago, and being that my name is James, it all kind of works out. James's Purple Nurple sounds kind of silly and sophmoric, but does sound better than "James's Homepage", or "James's Slice of the Internet", or "James World". I think I'll keep the Purple Nurple name until I find another catchy name that will, without doubt, raise my homesite head and shoulders above all of the other millions of homesites... About..... I'm a somewhat goofy guy who wants to experience as many different things in life as possible. I've gone through alot so far in my 36 years of living, most of it before the age of 20. Over the past ten years things have started to smooth out and life has become less difficult and more rewarding. My wife (of 13 years) Lisa and I currently reside in the New Brunswick area of New Jersey and have lived here for over 16 years. New Brunswick (Brumfus) is the home of Rutgers University, Johnson and Johnson, Joyce Kilmer (now deceased), and The Court Tavern. Some people have been here a long time, and try as they might to move away, they always end up back here. There is a vortex that binds certain individuals to this location to which makes me believe that some universal magnetic force is centered. Strange and beautiful....... I'm in the electronics business; research and development, in particular. R&D is interesting because you get the chance to play with cutting edge technology before anyone else does. Experimentation and tinkering is encouraged, and boy do I like to tinker! In the past, I've delivered papers, scrubbed toilet bowls, built houses, changed oil in cars, been homeless, sold clothing, bussed tables, cooked food, and repaired high-end stereo equipment - in that order. I have a GED (my world was too fucked up to stay in school) and a degree from DeVry Institute of Technology. I have my wife to thank for causing me to think about the possibility of a future; before her, there was none...... |
