BOARD of DIRECTOR'S Meeting was called January 28,2008
by the Commander,Robert "Bob" DAMIAN. The time was 4::30 PM til 6:00 PM. Members present were Robert
DAMIAN,Charles MASLIN,James GILLEY,James L. SNYDER,Ben MACHINIST,Pet WOMACK,Bob BENNETT,& Walter BOSHONEK,
and Fred MALVIN,Finance Officer.
Commander gave a finanicial Report and the Board agreeded to correct
the Damian Fund account. The Board heard Fred Malvin's report on the Check Record and other finance records.
Copies of the records were issued to the Board.
Bill DUNN was a special Guest at the Board Meeting. It was voiced that,we need
to fill our Open Slots as soon as possible and hold elections by next meeting in February or March 2008. Post
39 needs to train other members to run the post as prescribed by
The American Legion By-Laws, at present the post needs 1st & 2nd Vice Commanders,a Service Officer,Chaplin.Judge
Advacate and Etc.
Meeting adjourned at 6::00 PM .Next Board Meeting , APRIL 21,2008 at 4:30 PM
prior to Regular Meeting,subject to change.

The American Legion Post 39,Williamsburg, Virginia has been around a long
time. Come and join us and hear a speaker (To be announced) and have some fun..we have a Meeting
with a Meal!! February 25,2008 at the Williamsburg MOOSE Lodge,Rt 60(West).
Post 39 presented MajGen Joe GRAY and a Panel Updating the War in Iraq at our 24 Sept Meeting.
This was a Q & A . session. The Panel consist of those who have served in Iraq and other places.Gene
Frazier,Jim Kirkland & Tom Gray. A great meal was had by over 42 people and on January 28,2008 Meeting
some more good food is being prepared for YOU and your SPOUSE!! See you there.

of William & Mary College for their ROTC Programs.
Post 39,American Legion will present Awards to some ROTC Cadets in
2008. The Awards program will be presented in the Hall
behind the Gym in 2008. Day and time be anounced later by James Gilley.
James Gilley,Adjutant, presented 2007 awards for Post 39. We'll see you
there this year 2008...James!!
Out next Memorial Event will be Monday, May 26,2008 at the Williamsburg Memorial Park,
