Measuring
Universal Design Performance
The
7 Principles of Universal Design
were developed in 1997 by a working group of design researchers
at the North Carolina State University Center for Universal Design.
To aid in the application of these Principles, industrial design
staff at the Center for Universal Design developed Universal Design
Performance Measures for Products in 1998. These Performance Measures
were reviewed and refined through a series of focus groups and professional
reviews from 1999-2000. They are now available from the Center
for Universal Design.
