In loving memory
1994 - 1998
You can probably guess that I am rather partial to versatile hunting dogs. Sure there are a lot more breeds ofversatile hunting dogs, but with these two available, who could ask for anything more. Actually any good gun dog is a joy to behold, but I like the German Wirehaired Pointer and the relatively unknown Small Munsterlander Pointer or Kleine Munsterlander as it is known in Germany and Europe. My brother and sister-in-law got me interested in the Small Munsterlander Pointer, and we (my wife) got pick of their first litter. Angelina von Turner, "Angel" (see picture on Small Munsterlander Pointer page and on Angel's page). Angel and her four brothers were born on May 22,1997. She is working out very nicely. She earned two NA Prize IIs. We have not yet been able to Utility Test her. We added a second Moonster to our home in November, 1998. Bud is a very nice dog with a strong pointing instinct, good search, and birdiness. Take a look at Bud's page by clicking here or on his picture with the geese below. He earned a NA Prize II 107 points and is doing very well in the field on grouse and woodcock. We are getting our third Moonster in November. More about her later.

I am beginning research for a book on the Small Munsterlander Pointer. If you have any information on this breed, especially history of development in the U.S. or really good photos, please see the book research page.
