Kubo-do: Japanese Weapons

Kiyoshi Yamazaki Sensei is the international chief instructor of Japan Karate-do Ryobu-kai, and is a dedicate martial artist with a lifetime of experience in a number of martial arts. He holds the rank of 7th-degree black held in Shindo Jinen Ryu Karate-do and Shito-ryu Karate-do. He is also the chairman of the USA National Karate-do Federation's technical committee, and in his official capacity helped to bring Karate recognition as a sport from the International Olympic Committee.

Along with his accomplishments in Karate-do, Yamazaki Sensei is a master of kobudo, the traditional weapons of Japan and Okinawa, like the nunchaku, tonfa, bo-staff, sai, and kama. In addition, Yamazaki Sensei is a master of Iaido, the traditional Japanese sword art that emphasizes drawing the Japanese sword, the katana.

A world-renowned teacher, he is dedicate to helping people of all age achieve greater self-discipline, confidence, and self-esteem through the martial arts. With over forty years of teaching experience, Yamazaki Sensei's unique and personal style combines traditional forms and exercises which develop stamina, strength and flexibility with practical self-defense techniques.
