Chris Kappler will be one of four riders to represent the
U.S. at the 2003 Pan American Games in Santo Domingo.
The selectors felt that Royal Kaliber's performance, including
wins in both the $200,000 Budweiser American Invitational and the American Grandprix Association Championship within an eight-day
period earlier this spring, warranted this.
They recommended his selection to the Pan American team to
the Show Jumping High Performance Committee who then endorsed the selection to the USET and USAE Executive Committees, both
of whom supported the recommendations of the Selectors and Show Jumping High Performance Committee and granted approval.
