Echinoderms
Echinoderms are marine animals composed of a dermal skeleton with a characteristic pentaradial symmetry.
Crinoids are one group of echinoderms
and are listed on a previous web page. Other echinoderms include starfish, echinoids,
cystoids, edrioasteroids, blastoids, paracrinoids and eocrinoids. Most of the echinoderems pictured here are from the Ordovician Bobcaygeon/Verulam Formations of Ontario. There are a few from other localities.
